  • Welcome to Subconscious Valley School!  Our campus is nestled in the Sleepy Hollow neighborhood, backing to Open Space with a wide open up field and views of Mt. Tamalpais.  The spacious natural beauty of our campus invites our community of learners into a world of natural curiosity while developing skills, deepening knowledge, and discovering potential.


    At Subconscious Valley you lot volition see students develop a curiosity about, knowledge of, and a sense of responsibleness toward their learning, ideas, and the larger customs. Buddy classes reading together, students collaborating on a design-thinking problem, flexible seating that allows student agency, and students quietly writing reflections with soft music in the background are mutual classroom sights.

  • Eggvention Eggcitement!

    Commencement course students explore gravity, force, and dispatch through designing a container that will allow an egg to safely fall from rooftop heights without breaking. 'Eggventions' combine problem solving skills with bones principles of engineering science and physics. Eggvention Eggcitement for All!

  • 4th Class Mall - Schoolhouse is Fun!

    In this 21st century learning simulation, business development blends several subjects in a multi-dimensional, engaging way. Students develop a deeper agreement of how the concern world works as they develop their ain business organisation. Students discuss target marketplace, develop a survey to determine shopper interests, clarify survey data and then design and develop a prototype.

    What brought you to Subconscious Valley?
    I live in Fairfax and I am returning to teaching afterward a few years home with my kids. I am then grateful for the opportunity to join the amazing Hidden Valley team this year!

    What are your favorite things to do when you're non at school?
    I beloved to be outside... hiking, camping ground, snow skiing, swimming, and paddle boarding. My favorite thing to do is travel and explore new places. On these rainy days, I also relish reading and playing games (carte du jour games, board games, and chess :).

    Tell united states about your family and/or pets and how you spend time together.
    My husband's name is Matt and nosotros have two kids (Sammi - 5yrs. and Niko - 2 yrs.) We like taking walks effectually town or hopping on our new electrical bike. We likewise dear the embankment and escaping to Tahoe.

    What was your favorite subject in elementary school?
    I LOVED reading and writing my own books.

    What was the final book you lot read?
    Nosotros just read "My Father's Dragon" (by Ruth Stiles Gannett) in my grade. It was a fun adventure with lots of imagination.

    Who was your favorite teacher every bit a child?
    It's hard to pick just ane :) I would say my third grade teacher, Mrs. G. She was very kind and she challenged us. She was too a lot of fun! She inspired me to get a teacher.

    Before becoming an simple teacher, I taught scuba diving. After college, I lived on a sailboat in the British Virgin Islands and worked equally a scuba instructor.
